Led by Head PGA professional John Jacobs, Golf Monthly Top 25 UK Coach and England Boys coach, his team offer a friendly custom fitting service to members and visitors alike. The shop also provides a full repair service that includes re-grips reshafts and any alterations you may require. With its excellent facilities, including 36 holes of golf and a fabulous short game academy, John and his team have the opportunity to deliver coaching to the highest level. He leads a coaching staff with excellent credentials that compliment the high standards you can expect to find at Cumberwell Park.

John Jacobs - Head PGA Professional
Having established myself as one of the top instructors in the country, I have developed a real passion for coaching all standards of the game. I am Cumberwell’s first Professional, having joined when the course first opened in 1994, and enjoying many years since at this friendly and successful club. I've been voted Golf Monthly Top 25 Coach as well as coaching several youth and county teams, including National EGU England Boys Lead Coach (U16's), EGU South West Boys Coach (U18's), Wiltshire County Boys Coach (U14's) and Wiltshire County Girls Coach (U15's and U18's).

Ben Lloyd - PGA Professional
Ben has spent his entire golfing career here at Cumberwell Park. He joined as a junior aged 12 and worked his way through the junior ranks, becoming Club Champion in 2003. Shortly after he turned professional, winning his playing ability test and starting the PGA foundation degree. He picked up several awards throughout his training, finishing top of the class in his second year, and finishing in the third place overall as Trainee of the Year in 2007. One of his other achievements whilst training included winning the Lord Derby Trophy in 2006. Ben is a familiar face around Cumberwell Park, and has built up a large client base. He is also a Junior Academy Coach as well as an Engalnd Academy Coach.

Paul Morss - PGA Professional
Paul joined the golf industry in 1993 working at Minchinhampton Golf Club. It was here he started his training to become a qualified PGA professional, completing it in 1996. He then started a successful platying career where he won the West Region Matchplay Championship at Dartmouth in 1997. Other notable achievements include six separate pro am wins and a course record 64 at Lansdown Golf Club. Paul joined the team at Cumberwell Park in 1999 to concentrate more on coaching and less on playing. He is now a very enthusiastic full time coach. He enjoys coaching all golfesr and has developed a client base made up of beginners all the way to serious tournament golfers. Paul has also had a major influence in developing the very strong junior sections at Cumberwell Park, and formed the popular junior academy as well. He is the Head Junior Academy Coach, an England Golf Academy Coach and has over 16 years teaching experience.

Alex Blewett - PGA Professional
Alex has been a member of Cumberwell Park since 2004 and part of the pro shop staff since 2006. He has represented the club at the highest amateur level, playing for both the junior and men's first teams. Shortly after reaching his 18th birthday, Alex decided to make a career in golf. After winning his playing ability test in 2008 he started training to become a professional on the PGA Foundation Degree. Alex is now a PGA qualified professional and has over four years teaching and playing experience. He regularly competes at both local and national evel competitions, including qualifying for the National Assistants Championships in 2010. A well known face around Cumberwell Park, Alex is a young and enthusiastic coach, bringing a friendly and professional approach to teaching.

Alex Jacobs - Trainee PGA Professional
Alex first picked up a golf club aged 4, and has been passionate about the game ever since. He has represented the club at the highest amateur level playing for the junior and men’s first team. He joined the Proshop team in 2015, and shortly after turned professional to follow in his father’s footsteps and embark upon a career in coaching golf. Currently undertaking his PGA foundation degree, Alex is passionate about coaching, custom fitting and is involved the very popular Junior academy. He is looking forward to further enhancing his coaching skills and building a good reputation as a PGA professional.
