Race to the Medallist Trophy!
There has already been a lot of talk over the NEW format to the Medallist Trophy and it starts this Saturday! Be sure to get yourself in as many medals as possible. The format has completely changed and we have introduced a points system based on your final position in each medal. This means we will have a running leader board all year which will result in the top 50 players qualifying for the very lucrative final event in October. For full details click here.
You may have noticed...changes to the fairways
The club are currently changing the shape of the fairways on the red, yellow and blue nines.
These courses, particularly the Red and Yellow, were constructed in a parkland environment and it is confirmed that some of these features have been lost. The position of the fairway tends to change over time and we feel now is a good time to realign them.
The key feature that we will be integrating is strategy which will involve the fairways becoming more defined, particularly on landing areas. Although some fairways will become smaller, there is no intention to penalise golfers. The semi rough will remain the same height as it is considered to be suitable for all golfers to play shots from.

Start of the season is upon us...
As you would have noticed, the clocks have changed, April has arrived, the Masters is just around the corner and the notice board is packed full of entry forms! The golfing season is upon us. We have lots of competition available for entry and here is a summary of what’s around the corner:
Cifer Singles – Saturday 12th April 2014
Individual Men’s medal on the Red & Yellow course – Book your own tee times throughout the day - £5
Cifer Challenge – Sunday 13th April 2014
Men’s 4 Ball Better Ball – Pairs Stableford on the Blue & Orange course – Enter in pairs on the notice board and tee times will be drawn.
St. George's Day Trophy – Saturday 26th April 2014
A new event for 2014, the St George’s Trophy is a 4 Ball Better Ball pairs event open to ALL members. Tee times will be drawn from 8:04, enter on the notice boards.
Cumberwell Classic – Saturday 3rd May 2014
The early May Bank Holiday event is a 36 hole pairs event with Fourball Betterball on the morning followed by foursomes in the afternoon. Enter in the notice board.

The Masters is just around the corner...

Easter half term - Junior fun days
Each day costs £25 per child which includes all coaching, balls, clubs, lunch and refreshments. The day will consist of coaching on the swing and short game followed by the afternoon on the golf course.
