Junior Club Championship
Last weekend (Saturday 18th & Sunday 19th) Cumberwell Park hosted the annual Junior Club Championships. The event was played over two days, 18 holes played each day on the red and yellow courses from the white tees. The standard of play was fantastic and the eventual Gross winner with a -3 par total of 139 was Jamie Li (+2 Handicap). In second place with a level par total of 142 was James Cooper (1 Handicap) and in 3rd place with two impressive rounds of 75 was Dom Walter.
The nett scores were equally impressive!! The eventual nett winner with two great scores of 66 + 66 was Jake Brookes! Jake started the competition with a 26 handicap and finished with a new handicap of 21.6! Well played Jake!! For a list of the results please see below. There is a no doubt that the Cumberwell junior section is going from strength to strength, and there is no question that we will see them in contention for the Men's Club Championship later this year! Awesome performance guys!! Well Played to all the juniors that took part!!

Men's Club Championships - Enter in Proshop
The entry list is now up in the Proshop for the Men's Club Championship. The two day event will be played On Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th of August.
We can also enter your name on the phone if you're unable to make it up to the club 01225 862332. Entry is £15.00 payable on the day. Please click here for further information.
The renovations of the Proshop are going strong. The equipment corner is nearly complete. The new carpet is down and the walls are finished. Although still a lot of work to do, the changes so far are looking great. Pop in to check out the progress!! We will keep you posted! Some photos of the equipment corner below.
SUMMER BALL @ CUMBERWELL PARK - FRIDAY 14TH AUGUST
We have a Black tie Summer Ball event here at Cumberwell on Friday 14th August. With a 7:15pm for 8:00pm start, the evening kicks off with Pimms & Canapés in the celebration garden and a buffet from 8pm. The evening's entertainment is provided by Purple Fish and is going to be a great event. Tickets are priced at £28 per person and are purchased from reception.
Cumberwell Juniors Flying the Flag!!
Look our for Cumberwell Park juniors flying the flag for Cumberwell over the next couple of weeks with James Cooper playing in the national Under 16's Macgregor trophy this week, Cumberwell member Jamie Li playing in the Carris Trophy next week and we are very fortunate to have two players in the Reid trophy (National Under 14's) with Joe Retford and Dom Walter both making the field!! We also have Sarah Cheverton playing in the south West Ladies next week at High Post! Nice to see so many doing so well!

We have scheduled five Junior Fun Day's for this years summer holidays and are always very popular. The dates we have booked in are
Tuesday 4th August - 10am - 3pm

Tuesday 18th August - 10am - 3pm
Tuesday 25th August - 10am - 3pm
Each day is priced at £27.50 and you can book in for as many as you would like to attend. The coaching days will cover some long and short game coaching, lunch in the clubhouse followed by a few holes on the course. Pick up a form in the ProShop, or call 01225 862332 to book.
