Register with England Golf
As a member of our Golf Club your handicap details are now included within the club's records on the England Golf Central Database of Handicaps (CDH).
You have automatically been allocated a unique CDH ID number by our club's handicapping software, identifying you individually on the CDH. This allows you immediate access to your exact and playing handicap online. It also means that you will no longer be required to produce a Handicap Certificate when playing in away competitions as those clubs can access you’re playing details through the CDH.
It is now recommended that you register your details with your CDH ID number by completing the registration process here. It will only take a few minutes, simply enter your information where prompted.
This unique CDH ID number also ensures that all your away scores are automatically routed back to our Golf Club as your home golf club, helping keep your handicap up-to-date at all times.
Importantly, after registering your CDH ID number with the Handicap and Benefits Programme, you are identified as a member of England Golf. This provides you with access to your latest handicap online plus additional benefits and discounts and automatic entry into our free prize draws.
Once registered your CDH ID number will remain with you for the time you are a golf club member. You will then have unlimited, free access to your official CONGU Handicap as it changes during the playing season, keeping track of your progress and identifying you as a current golf club member when playing at any other golf club.

Start of the new FootJoy shoe collection
It’s that time of year when FootJoy launch their new shoe range and over the past week shoes have been arriving thick and fast. So far we have received the new D.N.A. shoes, Hydrolite shoes and the remarkable comfortable Contour series. This year we are an authorised fitting account and because of this we now stock the contour shoe in MEDIUM fit, WIDE fit and EXTRA WIDE fit, allowing us to get you the perfect size shoe!
TaylorMade R15 & Aero Burner woods
As always with TaylorMade, there is a lot of hype over their new range of metal woods fro 2015! They have two new products out at two different price points. Their flagship product is the new R15 driver, with a vast amount of adjustability, tour inspired looks and available in both Black & White head is sure to be a hit this year and we have it on the shelves already. Their other driver in the range is the new Aero Burner, a driver in which TaylorMade claim to be their longest yet! The driver is aerodynamically designed to create the maximum amount of clubhead speed for any golfer!
We have demo product arriving shortly, all in anticipation for the launch of our new custom fitting room!
Callaway Alpha 815 drivers
After a very successful year with the Big Bertha & BB Alpha driver Callaway are looking for another great year in 2015. Next month sees the launch of the Brand New Big Bertha Alpha 815. This driver is available in two different head shapes, the Alpha 815 & Alpha 815 Double Black Diamond. Both drivers have the same head size (460cc) with the Double Black Diamond a more compact deeper faced version. There are various lofts available in both heads ranging from 9 degrees up to 12 degrees. Both models have an 8 way adjustable COG adaptor for loft and lie. It is Callaway’s lowest ever spinning pair of drivers which can offer maximum distance and great launch angles. The adjustability on the sole of the club is a major influence in creating great launch conditions with the use of there innovating ‘Gravity Core’. This enables the user to increase and decrease the amount of spin that is imparted on the ball. If that wasn’t enough technology you can also adjust the weights in the sole of the club to aid a draw or fade ball flight.

St. Andrews Foursomes - Saturday 31st January 2015
The St. Andrews Foursomes is always a popular pairs event which is open to members of ALL sections. This year it is to be played on the Red & Yellow course and tee times will be drawn between 8:04 and 11:24. Enter your names on the notice board and the £10 entry is payable on the day.
Deerest Trophy - Sunday 15th February 2015
The Deerest trophy is a Mixed Foursomes event played on the Red & Yellow course. Green Fees will be reduced by 50% because it's a foursomes event and pairs are to be entered on the mixed notice board. Tee times will be drawn from 10am.
Cumberwell Quiz Night - Friday 30th January 2015
The Cumberwell Quiz is back in the New Year and booking are being taken at reception. Teams of six will battle it out to become quiz champions. At just £8 per person which includes a lasagne or curry, it's going to be a packed house. Call 01225 862332 to book, or see reception when next up.
