Club news

Summer knockout competitions now open...

We have now put all the summer knockout competitions on Intelligent Golf. You can enter all knockouts and also pay your entry through the App or Website. If you haven’t installed the app, or cannot access the website, please call into the proshop and we can enter for you.

 
Coaching news

Junior Academy Open for new entries for 2020

The Junior Academy for 2020 will start on 16th March and is open for renewals and new members. We’ve had a good response so far with a lot of members re-joining, particularly in the older class.

The Junior Academy is an after school programme that runs every Monday, throughout term time between March and October. Split into two classes starting at 4:15pm & 5:20pm, we structure coaching sessions to cover all aspects of the game including plenty of on course time.

The cost of the membership is £150 for the year and covers over 20 coaching sessions. It is a great way for any new junior to get into golf or for developing juniors to join a system with some structure. For more information, speak to Ben, Paul or Alex J in the Proshop, or give us a call on 01225 862332.

 

Junior Roll-up sessions...

We now host Sunday Junior Roll up sessions from 11am to 12pm in addition to our Saturday session at 10am. The lesson lasts for 1 hour priced at only £6 and no experience nor equipment is needed. If you’d like anymore information please call the Proshop on 01225 862332.

 
Ladies news

Calling all ladies...

On Wednesday 11th March we are hosting a fashion show and we need the help from a few lady member models to showcase the latest looks from some of the best brands out there. Watch the new styles come to life during the fashion show then shop the range in the shop. With a glass or Prosecco and canapes on arrival in the Hayswood room, it’s an event not to be missed.

Put Titleist's SM8 Vokey wedges to the test...

On Friday 13th March we are hosting an official Titleist SM8 Vokey fitting day including a FREE fitting service from the Titleist fitters alongside the pro’s here at Cumberwell.

Interest free finance on the horizon...

Some exciting news on the horizon is that in the coming days we are in a position to be able to offer 0% finance on goods purchased through the proshop.

We’ve teamed up with Hitachi Capital who will supply the finance and you will now be able take advantage or our expertise excellent prices, spread over a term that suits you. Of course, there are some T&C’s like any financial agreement but can’t wait to be able to roll this out.

Unbearable tension

Last week we revealed a remarkable statistic regarding the number of golfers playing grips that are over a year old, but what impact does that actually have on your game? Well, we decided to do some digging...

Grips are made from rubber and are prone to wear and tear, just like the tyres on your car. When they become worn, your grips will lose tackiness and your hands will start to slip during the swing, resulting in poorer shots.
