Live leaderboards...

During qualifying competitions, we will run live leaderboards which will be viewable online whilst the competition is running.

Driving range balls and baskets

These items are the property of Cumberwell Park and their sole use is for the driving range. Under no circumstances can these items be taken away from the club, or to be used on other parts of the facilities.

These include the course, short game area and par 3 course. Golfers should use their own balls when practicing on the short game area.

Junior news

Calling all juniors!

We are running a Junior Away Day on Friday 1st November which is open to all junior members on Friday 1st November at the Kedleshire GC.

It’s a great opportunity for us to get the junior section together and have a day out at a different golf course. The day will cost just £15 and includes food, so it’s great value. Space are limited, so please book in with us in the pro shop as soon as you can.

We are looking forward to the day.

Junior Funday - 29th October - Half Term!

We are running another one of our ever popular Junior Funday days. The day is booked for Tuesday 29th October and runs from 10:00 – 15:00. The day includes lunch and will also involve some time on the range, shortgame are and also the Par 3 Course. Aimed at all ages and abilities, the day is great value at £27.50. Junior roll-up sessions

We have now added a Sunday Junior Roll up session from 11am to 12pm. This is in addition to our Saturday sessions at 10am and 3pm. The lesson lasts for 1 hour and is priced at only £5. No experience or equipment is needed. If you’d like anymore information please call the Pro Shop on 01225 862332.

We have just taken stock of the new Volvik Laser Range Finder. Featuring a "Pin Finder" function and capable of calculating distances from five to 1,200 yards (accurate to within one yard), the V1 is a cutting-edge distance measuring device at a highly competitive price point.

New Titleist TruFeel in stock!

Titleist have just released the new mid range soft feel distance ball, the TruFeel. The ball features a faster core and improved cover, and the aerodynamics are designed to increase driver distance without affecting the soft feel or short-game control. The balls come printed with a vivid alignment, ideal for putting a square set-up.

The balls are priced at £6.50 per sleeve or £23.00 per dozen. For a limited time only we are offering a four ball sleeve for the same a three ball sleeve of £6.50.

Are you part of the 70%?

The popularity of Distance Measuring Devices (DMDs) has been growing for several years as golfers seek as much help as possible whilst out on the course. Our recent survey indicated that over 70% of you choose to use one, so we thought we'd highlight one of our favourites in this week's newsletter.

Garmin Approach S40 watch

GPS devices are not just about reading front, middle and back yardages. Well, in some cases they are, but not when it comes to Garmin’s Approach S40 watch.

As we know, the course can be played several different ways and the Approach S40 displays distances to hazards and doglegs at a glance, which will prove vital when trying to take your course management to the next level.

In fact, at this time of the year when a wet course is a regular occurrence, knowing your yardages has never been more important. This is where the S40 comes into its own as it allows you to alter the pin's position on your watch so you can get highly accurate distances.

A new ball from Titleist

It's not uncommon for brands to launch their products as the greatest thing since sliced bread, however, if you like to play a ball that has an ultra-soft feel and doesn't shirk its responsibilities off the tee or around the green, then the brand new TruFeel could well make a justified claim to that title.

Who says you can't have everything all at once?

We were pleasantly surprised when we gave the new TruFeel a try. It not only replaces the popular DT TruSoft in Titleist's range, but we think it's a considerable upgrade too.

We'll leave it to you to make your mind up when you give this ball a try, but it certainly combines an incredibly soft feel with impressive distance.
