Cross Country Event – Greenkeeper’s Revenge The return of Cross Country Golf with the addition of ‘Greenkeepers Revenge’ went down an absolute treat with 113 players taking part in the event in the fun event with a few twists! We had flags in bunkers, tyres on greens, a wheel of fortune, par 6s & 7s and more. A great job by Ali & Matt James and the team of greenkeepers in setting up such a great event that was enjoyed by everyone who took part and in the process managed to raise over £550 for Macmillan Cancer support. With a mixture of holes and a variety of pars, it was hard to predict what the scoring was going to be like. We had one outstanding score from Tony Rees, Gavin Aubrey & Richard Grigsby who between them managed to return 65 points, 4 clear of the rest of the field. We had a three way tie for second with Ben Charman, Mike Hiskens, Ben Leach & Gav Messer claiming it on countback with 61 points.

Winter rules are now in operation It’s unfortunately that time of year when winter rules comes back into operation. A ball may be marked, lifted, cleaned and replaced, no nearer the hole and within 6 inches, on any closely mown area (fairway cut) In addition, we will keep a plugged ball rule running throughout the duration of winter rules, any ball that is plugged, anywhere through the green, may be lifted, cleaned and dropped, no nearer the hole.

Winter is coming, but we know that won't prevent you avid golfers getting out on the course to face biting winds, muddy shoes and, most of all, rain. Lots and lots of rain. With this in mind, it's more important than ever to have a golf bag which will keep your clubs and belongings dry during a downpour. |
Introducing Titleist's StaDry Deluxe This is where a cart bag like the StaDry Deluxe comes into play. You'll certainly be keeping your valuables dry if you opted to upgrade your golf bag to this offering over the winter thanks to Titleist’s StaDry waterproof technology, which ensures maximum coverage from the rain during your round. Weighing in at 2.9 kgs, it's also incredibly lightweight, making it easy to lift to and from the car boot to your trolley.
