Captain's Weekend - 24th & 25th June
Our Club Captain Pete Trevor is hosting his Captain's weekend next Saturday 25th & Sunday 25th June.
His chosen charity for the year is the Forever Friends Appeal RUH and we have a great opportunity to get behind Pete and raise a lot of money towards such a great local cause.
Below is the weekend's itinerary:
Saturday 24th - Individual Stableford - Red & Yellow
The weekend kicks off with an individual stableford open to ALL members with active handicaps. The course is booked out all day just for competitors, so to book a tee time, please speak to us in the pro shop and we will get you a time. We're looking for a record entry this year!
Pete and his team will be on hand all day to keep you topped up with food and drink and it's a fun day - Call to book on 01225 862332.
Saturday 24th - Captain's Evening - Black Tie Dinner - 7:00pm
Pete will then host captain's evening, starting with drinks in the celebration garden on arrival, a fantastic two course dinner and wine on the table sponsored by fine wines direct.
Tickets can be purchased from reception at £25 per person.
Sunday 25th - Captain's Fun Day - Teams of 4
The weekend closes with a fun team event on the Sunday where the dress code this year is the colours of the British & Irish Lions. It's a 10am start and just £5 per person playing a full handicap bowmaker. To enter, sign up on the mixed notice board in the clubhouse.
We hope to see lots of you over the weekend, it's sure to be a great event and let's raise as much money as possible.
EuroPro Hole-In-One Members Shoot Out!
With just over two weeks until our annual EuroPro event, we have an exciting event taking place on Tuesday 27th June. Following the Professionals Par 3 competition, we are holding a 'Members Hole-in-One Shootout' before the 26 EuroPro players take on their Hole-in-One challenge for £100,000!
We have strictly 150 attempts at the challenge between 4pm & 6pm and spaces are to be booked through reception. At £12 per member, their will be donations to each of the Captain's charity. A hog roast and of course some amazing prizes for the three nearest the pin's including a Mazda MX5 for a Hole-in-One prize. This event is not to be missed!

Members 'Adopt A Green' Scheme
The club has put in place a simple scheme to help reduce the amount of pitch marks left unrepaired on the greens which we hope will see a huge reduction of pitch marks on the putting surfaces. Each member will be allocated a hole on each of the five nines and we ask that while playing on 'your' green you could repair an extra 2/3 pitch marks, paying special attention to any par 3's you may be allotted.
This alone would make such a difference to the surfaces all year round and your help with this will be grateful and benefit all. To see which greens you have been allocated simply follow the chart below to see where your surname falls.
Father's Day At Cumberwell Park
Cumberwell are taking bookings for Father's Day this Sunday. On offer is a 2-course meal at £16.25 and a 3-course meal at £19.50 with a fantastic menu providing plenty of choice.
