Phil Barton takes Lombard Medal!!
Saturday saw our fifth medal of the year and the Lombard qualifier. The Lombard winner qualifies to play in a pairs better ball event with head professional John Jacobs at Parkstone.
A poor forecast, but the medal played over the Yellow & Orange provided some great scoring from some of the 85 entries!!
Our winner was Phil Barton who shot a fantastic 77 off 13 giving him a nett 64!! Clear winner by 3 shots!!
Captain’s Day is fast arriving, and so is the evening…
Martin Cooper’s Captain's Charity Weekend is fast approaching and he has lots in store!! The Saturday daytime kicks off with an individual Stableford open to ALL members of every section!! Tee times are being pre booked in the ProShop, so please contact us to book your slot.
There will be loads of prizes, food, drink and more!! At only £5, it’s a bargain and a day not to be missed.
Then onto the evening…. His Captain's evening is priced at just £20 and will include a glass of Pimms in the garden at 6:30pm, a 3 course dinner, disco, great company… and the World Cup will also be shown!
His chosen charity is the Breast Cancer Campaign, so a good support is needed!!

Ladies short game clinic - book now!
Head Professional John Jacobs will be hosting ONE MORE short game clinic with former Ladies European Tour player Bev New.
The day clinic will cover short game in the morning including pitching, chipping & bunker play, lunch in the clubhouse followed by a putting clinic, all on our fantastic short game area!
The remainng session is Monday 7th July, starting at 9:30 and finishing at 14:30 and will cost £75 per person.

Summer Knockout draws now up!
The draw sheets for the four Summer Knockouts are now up on the notice board. Please check who you have been drawn against and get matches underway as soon as possible.
Kestrel Chick Ringing – Friday 13th June 2014
Friday 13th June we will be ringing the newly born Kestrels. If all the 5 chicks have successfully hatched, the eldest one should be 17 days old then and the youngest 10 to 12 days which will be perfect. Any older than 21 days they can become nearly unmanageable!
We aim to get to Cumberwell at 11 o’clock for ringing at, say, 1115hrs. Members and guests are very welcome to view.
We have four Fun Days scheduled for the Summer holidays. The dates are:
Tuesday 29th July
Tuesday 5th August
Tuesday 12th August
Wednesday 28th August
Each day starts at 10am, will include long and short game coaching in the morning, a break for lunch in the clubhouse then some time on the golf course in the afternoon for a 3pm finish.
The days are perfect for beginner or improver junior golfers and a lot of fun!

New learn to play golf class! - Filling up fast!
Following the National Golf Month we have evening classes starting for adult beginners or improvers! We have two classes starting in June, one on Tuesday 10th June and one starting on Wednesday 4th June.
