WHAT'S IN THE BAG - BEN LLOYD AND ALEX JACOBS #TEAMTITLEIST
Both Ben Lloyd and Alex Jacobs have a full set of Titleist clubs. They both love their clubs and think very highly of them. Ben is a Titleist ambassador and has all his clubs custom fitting which has helped with the performance of his clubs. It was a great experience to be fitted out at Celtic Manor with the guys from Titleist and I learn a lot just going through the fitting process with guys that know everything about their brand.

I received all of the clubs just after Christmas and my wedges on the last few weeks as the new SM6 wedges have only just been released. The clubs feel fantastic and very happy that I've got a bag of clubs that all do different things. The mix of woods, hybrids and utility irons cover the yardages I need at the top end of the bag. At the bottom end, the three wedges I have put in are brilliant. Titleist offer many different grinds in their wedges and they all do slightly different things. With our choice of fitting wedges I was able to try them all out and chose the right ones. Titleist were also good enough to stamp my son's initials on each wedge, so that was a nice touch too. I've always used the pro V1, it's a ball I have trust in its consistency and more importantly, feels great around the green giving me good control of the ball on approaches.

I use the same irons as Ben, we both love the look and feel of them. The tungsten in the toe makes them easy to use and being forged. I have two TMB driving irons a 3 and a 2, they are a real asset in the bag and I prefer them to rescues as they have a lower flight. I use the old Titleist 910 Driver as I like how it sits and I can produce a lower flight with it. I'm very pleased with the performance of my equipment, especially the SM6 wedges; the K grind on the 58degree makes it very easy to pitch with and is brilliant out of the sand!!
If you need any help in looking at the gaps in your current set, please let us know, with the use of trackman this becomes a really effective task.
SUMMER KNOCKOUT DRAWS NOW UP!!
The draw sheets for the Summer Knockout competitions have been completed and are now on the notice board. Please endeavour to get your matches arranged and played as soon as possible.
CALLAWAY DEMO DAY - FRIDAY 3RD JUNE
We have our second Callaway Demo Day this year! After the success of the first one earlier in the year we have decided to do a second!
The Demo Day will include all the new XR product from woods to irons and also include the Great Big bertha product. We have every shaft, every head and a custom fitting technician on site to get you fitted up.
You are more than welcome to come on up and try any of the products on offer, but if you would like a specific sitting appointment, please call us to book in and we will ensure you get the best possible fitting experience.

CAPTAINS ROLL-UP
The Captain's roll- up is a 9 hole Qualifying Stableford on a Thursday evening open to all members. It's a great way of meeting people and playing some golf. It costs £2 to enter and you will be paired up with other members, tee times are from 5:30- 6:00pm. There will be prizes on the evening and categorised Order of Merit Prizes to be awarded at the end of the season. BUSY HALF TERM AHEAD FOR THE JUNIORS!
This half term its action packed for our junior team with events being held all week. The week starts off with the junior open held at Cumberwell with a massive 65 entries! There is then the junior team shield held at Wrag Barn golf club on the Tuesday. Wednesday sees the County team head to Honiston Golf Club where we have 3 players from Cumberwell playing, James Cooper, Joe Retford and Dom Walter, good luck to them, we will keep you posted!
