Cumberwell Park Seniors win Winter League 

Thursday, 24 March saw our seniors overturn a 2.5 to 1.5 deficit from the away leg of the winter league inter-club play-off final. In securing a 3 to 1 home win they beat Marlborough, last year's winners, to take the trophy. 

The competition which runs from October to March, currently includes Wrag Barn, Donnington Grove, Marlborough, Ogbourne Downs, Sandford Springs, Salisbury & South Wilts, Upavon and Cumberwell. It is played in two divisions leading to the play-offs between the winners of each. 

Well done and congratulations to all.


 

Masters Weekend - New Competition for 2016

This year we have introduced a new competition in replacement for the Cifer trophy and to coincide with the Masters. 

Saturday, 9 April kicks off with a singles event played over the Red and Yellow course. Qualifying stableford - Double Points on Amen Corner - Holes 11, 12 and 13 (for competition purposes only). Book your own tee times. 

Sunday, 10 April there will be a pair's event played on the Blue and Orange course and will follow the format of the Cifer Pairs. Enter on the notice board - Tee times between 7:56 & 11:24. 

There will be lots of themed Masters twists going on and a new trophy in the form of a Masters green tour bag presented at presentation evening.


 

Calling All Ladies - FREE Introductory Golf Sessions 

We are running FREE introductory Golf Sessions at Cumberwell Park for ladies. We have set three dates to learn a basic introduction to the game, rules and the etiquette. We will then progress with follow-on group sessions to gain more experience and get into golf. 

The three dates are:
Saturday, 2 April at 4:30pm-6:30pm
Tuesday, 5 April at 10:00am-12:00pm
Monday, 11 April at 12:30pm-2pm

No equipment or any experience of golf is required so bring yourself along and get ready to have fun and learn some golf.

Ex-Rental Trolleys 

As you may well be aware, we have received our new rental fleet of the new Motocaddy S1 Trolleys. All come with lithium batteries and are ready to help you round the course.

We have received our FootJoy stock for 2016 and as usual carry a huge amount of choice and sizes. We are one of only four authorised fitting accounts in the south west and because of this carry additional width fittings from medium, wide and extra wide. We will also measure feet to get the best fitting shoe on your foot for maximum comfort and performance.
