The Cumberwell Juniors Win Again!!

On Saturday, 3 October the Junior 6 man team played at Thornbury Golf Club in Bristol for the Junior Home nations inter club regional semi-final. The team consisted of 6 players, James Cooper, Alex Jacobs, Joe Retford, Dom Walter, Will Doust and Myles Edwards, with none of the players off a handicap above 4! The best team ever fielded in Cumberwell's history! 

The competition needed 5 out of the 6 score to count, 1 gross and 4 nett, the gross scores were as follows; Cooper 70 (-1), Walter 70 (-1), Jacobs 72 (+1), Retford 74 (+3), Doust 76 (+5) and Edwards 79 (+8). The team won the event by 9 shots! This then puts them through to the regional final at China Fleet in Plymouth in 2 weeks time. Good luck to the team, we will keep you updated!!!

Medallist results - Top 50 now in place

Phil Barton and Peter Claire - Last 8 in national match play! 

Cumberwell members Phil Barton and Peter Claire are through to the South West Regional in the Nike National match play! They have fought through 5 rounds with potentially only two more to go!! The final will take place at the Val Do Lobo Golf Club in Portugal, but first Phil and Peter must win at the Players Club on the 13th October in order to progress!! Victoria Motors Weekend

Last weekend was the Victoria Motors weekend. On Saturday, 3 October we held the annual singles event. This was a Stableford competition over the red and yellow courses. Scoring proved excellent, but the eventual winner was Greig Sweetland, with 44 points off an 8 handicap!! Well Played Greig!! To see the full list of results please click here.

Pairs event - Postponed

On Sunday we (attempted) to hold the pairs event. But due to heavy fog, the competition has been postponed until Sunday, 18 October. Places are still available for this, if you would like to enter, please contact the proshop on 01225 862332.

Pro Shop Stableford

Mark Sadrick was victorious on Saturday with 32 points and Jon Ashworth stormed to victory on Sunday with 38.
