EuroPro Pro-Am another Huge Success!!

Monday saw the start of our second EuroPro tour event here at Cumberwell Park and it kicked off with a Pro-Am on the Monday. A huge 54 teams took part in the event, over 200 golfers!!!

With a great mix of members, visitors and sponsors, the weather was fantastic and everyone had a great day and all treated to some fine golf from some of the top professionals in the EuroPro order of merit.

A massive success of an event and we all can't wait for the event to get underway. We will have a full report in both events in next week's newsletter, but at the time of writing, we have a certain Mr Surry at the top of the leader board.

Callaway Fitting Event - Saturday, 20 June

After the strength of our first Callaway demo day we have a Saturday booked in for Saturday, 20 June all day!! Now as you know, we have a huge collection of demo products from Callaway all year round, but on the demo day's there is always a little more choice in shafts plus the expert help from Callaway club technician.

Join Woody for his Captain's Day

Club captain Ian Wood has booked in his captain's evening for Saturday, 11 July. Join Ian for an evening of food, drink laughter with top Liverpool comedian Denny Waters.

The evening will cost just £20 and tickets are available at reception. It's sure to be a great night, so feel free to bring along your friends and family and let's raise some money for his chosen charity!

We have scheduled five Junior Fun Day's for this years summer holidays and are always very popular. The dates we have booked in are

Tuesday 28th July - 10am - 3pm
Tuesday 4th August - 10am - 3pm
Tuesday 11th August - 10am - 3pm
Tuesday 18th August - 10am - 3pm
Tuesday 25th August - 10am - 3pm

Each day is priced at £27.50 and you can book in for as many as you would like to attend. The coaching days will cover some long and short game coaching, lunch in the clubhouse followed by a few holes on the course. Pick up a form in the ProShop, or call 01225 862332 to book.

9 Hole Pink Ball Competition - Thursday, 2 July

On Thursday, 2 July there will be an evening competition running for members. The event will be starting at 5:24pm played over nine holes on either the Red or Yellow course. Groups of three will be drawn together and at just £10 including a buffet, it's going to be a great event!!

To sign up, put your name on the notice board and help support the British Heart Foundation & Alzheimer Society.

Midsummer Madness - Sunday 28th June - Early!

The Midsummer Madness is a rare opportunity to play the course at the break of dawn!! Teeing off on Sunday, 28 June teeing off at 4:30am on a shotgun start, teams of four will play a Bowmaker and is open to ALL members. The course looks absolutely fantastic at this time of day (apparently) and priced at just £10 per person including a Full English Breakfast on completion, spaces are limited, so sign up early!

The upcoming events at the club are as follows:

Saturday 20th June - Euro-Pro maker
Sunday 21st June - June medal 2 - Yellow / Blue

We have the new BIG T putters from Odyssey in store now!! Amazingly easy to align and fitted with the new Odyssey Works face and Superstroke grips, these really are fantastic putters!!
