Mixed Texas Scramble - Captain's Drive In
On Sunday we held our annual Texas Scramble competition involving players from all sections. We had a great turn out from all the four sections which included a mixture of Men, Ladies, Senior's and Junior's. Traditionally the four new captains from each section drive into the new season after the event, and this year was no different.
With 19 teams of three all competing for the top spot, scoring proved very low! The winning team with an amazing score of 59.3 was Dom Mussell, Will Doust and Kelly Browse. (For a full list of the results see below).
After some cheese and port, all the players stepped out to watch the four captains drive from the 10th tee onto the fairway (or rough!) to reveal the lucky winners of the 'Captain's Drive In' draw. Martin Cooper was first to hit, he fired a beauty straight down the middle to land on square number 26 who's number belonged to Ian Nairn. Congratulations to Ian who wins a bottle of champagne. We should also mention that over £250 was raised from the Drive In alone, so a massive thanks to all of the people that bought tickets and supported the successful day. Here's to a great year!

Easter half term - Junior fun days
Each day costs £25 per child which includes all coaching, balls, clubs, lunch and refreshments. The day will consist of coaching on the swing and short game followed by the afternoon on the golf course.

Race to the Medallist Trophy!
We have exciting news about the Medallist Trophy for 2014! The format has completely changed and we have introduced a points system based on your final position in each medal. This means we will have a running leader board all year which will result in the top 50 players qualifying for the very lucrative final event in October. For full details, click here.
Learn to play golf class
We are starting a Wednesday evening class from the 2nd April and running for 5 weeks. The group class kicks off at 6pm and will run through the basics of the swing and short game at just £70 per person. To book your place call us on 01225 862332.
Charity Fashion Show
In aid of the captain's charity, Breast Cancer campaign, there will be a charity fashion show held on Wednesday 9th April, 8pm start at the Old Bear Inn, Staverton. £15 per ticket which includes canapés and complimentary glass of sparkling wine. Tickets can be purchased from Aspire in Trowbridge and also at the Old Bear Inn, Staverton.
