It's about time
At last, the wait is finally over; the clocks have changed... that's forward an hour in case you're still struggling! On the down side there will be those who forget; those who you want to throttle because they miss their tee time. On the up side, and it's a major, major plus, the longer evenings can only mean one thing: more golf!
If you do one thing this week, make sure it's giving those fair weather golfers a nudge. It's time to get out there and embrace the new season. The Masters is just around the corner, there's 9-hole golf after work on the cards and, who knows, we might start to see the sun a bit more, too.
Remember, we're here to help on all things golf. Give yourself the best chance of enjoying better golf this season and request a lesson with one of the team. Click here to request your lesson.

A review from Liz Hobbs – Cumberwell member, 12 handicapper.
"I trialled the Callaway XR clubs over 5 days in soft ground conditions. The set included Driver, 5 & 7 Woods, 4 & 5 Hybrid and 6 Iron through to SW, with standard shafts, loft and lie.
I liked the matt black finish of the driver and fairway woods especially when set against the ball. The distance and feel of the driver was very similar to my current Cobra AMP driver. I was particularly impressed with the fairway woods. Distance far exceeded my current clubs, the Callaway 5 wood was longer than my TaylorMade 3 wood and much easier to hit. It is a club which gives confidence to hit through the ball. The same can be said of the Calloway 7 wood, which was longer than my existing 5 wood.
The irons, although slightly 'chunkier' than my TaylorMade R9’s, still looked good against the ball and the lighter feel made the irons easy to swing, giving a nice high ball flight.
The Odyssey White Hot putter felt slightly heavier than my own & I initially found it difficult to use but once got used to the weight, putted really well.
All of the clubs I used felt very easy to swing and even mishits still went a reasonable distance in the right direction. The only other comment that I can add is at the end of the trial I ordered both the fairway woods and irons!"
