Important notice to all golfers
In the interest of health and safety, all golfers, whilst playing golf must treat greenkeeping staff with the same respect as golfers.
It is therefore, essential that no shot be taken until all greenkeepers are out of range.
Greenkeepers will endeavour to make every reasonable effort to avoid holding up play and will either vacate the area within range of golfers, or will stand aside and call golfers through.
If greenstaff are carrying out their work and holding up play, it is because they have decided that a small delay in the golf is in the interest of both parties i.e. the job of maintaining the golf course can be done ahead of the golf.
Your cooperation in this important matter is greatly appreciated.

Junior members Christmas Weekend
20th & 21st December
New junior captain Alex Jacobs has organised a weekend for the junior members on the 20th & 21st December. The weekend is open to ALL junior members over the age of 11 and with a handicap.
Saturday will start at 9:00am with coaching from John Jacobs & the team on short game and long game followed by a short game competition. Lunch will be at 12:00 in the clubhouse followed by a nine hole competition on the course and finishing with activities including table tennis, tablet football and more.
On Sunday there will be an 18 hole competition starting at 10am and the day will conclude with prizes and a quiz, finishing at 3:30pm.

Junior Christmas Fun day & Party!!
Monday 22nd December - Don't Miss It!!
We are putting on a children's Christmas Fun Day on Monday 22nd December. The day will be open to all juniors and include some swing coaching on the range in the morning, followed by party food upstairs in the clubhouse and plenty of fun & games!! The day will start at 10am and finish at 2:30pm and priced at £27.50 per child . Christmas jumpers & hats will be a standard requirement.
Cumberwell Quiz Night
Friday 30th January 2015
The Cumberwell Quiz is back in the New Year and booking are being taken at reception. Teams of six will battle it out to become quiz champions. At just £8 per person which includes a lasagne or curry, it's going to be a packed house. Call 01225 862332 to book, or see reception when next up.
Winter League draw is now up!!
Please check the notice board and start arranging games at your earliest convenience.
Winter Rules are now in operation!
As of Saturday 18th October, winter rules are now in operation. A player may lift, clean and place on closely mown areas within 6'' no nearer the hole.
In addition to this, relief may be taken from a plugged ball anywhere through the green (anywhere on the course except hazards). A free drop may be taken; no nearer the hole (the ball may be cleaned).
