We have our final fifty!!
The final medal was played on Saturday with a huge entry of 111 players looking for the vital double points!!
The scoring was great with 18 players with scores in the nett 60’s and a great winning score from Matt Thomas who carded a 72, nett 65 to move him into 6th overall in the final standings.
The Top 50 players have all qualified for the final event to be held on Saturday 18th October from 9am. Players will go out in point order, with the leading three players of the order of merit teeing off last.
There will be prizes for the Top 5 players of the order of merit after the final event and all will be invited to presentation night. In addition to this, there will also be prizes for the best nett scores on the day, at the final event.
Looking forward to seeing how the final event pans out and who can win our first ‘Race to the Medallist’ Trophy.

Junior fun day – Tuesday 28th October
We have a Junior Fun Day scheduled for Tuesday 28th October for new or improving junior golfers. The day commences at 10am with some coaching on the range and short game areas, followed by a lunch in the clubhouse. Following lunch we will spend a bit of time on the golf course and finish at 3pm. The day costs £27.50 per child includes lunch. See the shop for more details.
Cumberwell juniors narrowly miss out
After coming runners up in this years Wiltshire Junior league, Cumberwell qualified for the regional semi-final of the National Team Golf competition at Wrag Barn last Saturday. An excellent all-round team performance ended in the team coming second by the narrowest of margins, just three strokes behind East Berkshire who now progress to the regional final to be held this year at Cumberwell on 12th October. The team still have the county KO cup finals to look forward to next month and with most of the team eligible again next year they look forward to another promising season in 2015.
