Competition news

Annual Turkey Trot this Saturday

We have 23 teams booked in for this Saturday to battle it out for the Christmas Turkey. Tee times are running from 8:04 to 10:04 and you book through the shop. The format is best 2 scores from 4 stableford, and is being played on the red and orange courses. Its £16 per team and is sponsored by Church farm meats. How many do you carry?

Some people like to load the top end of their bag with a driving iron or a couple of hybrids, whereas we know others prefer to give themselves more options at the bottom end, carrying several wedges to cover different yardages and shot types. Which one are you?

As the chart above helps highlight, when you break down the number of shots you hit with various clubs during a round, it’s clear to see why your wedges are so important. Giving yourself more options in this area will ensure that you’re covered for every scenario and distance.
