Pro’s Day
Saturday saw another well supported Pro’s Day with a couple of great prizes donated by Wellsway BMW.
We had 24 teams take part in a challenge to beat either one of the Pro’s Team scores.
We have gave the members full handicap allowance and the format was best 2 from 4 on Par 4’s and 5’s with the best 3 scores to count on the par 3’s…. A challenge from the green tees.
Running along the team event was a very lucrative individual competition and two very special nearest the pin prizes!
There was one standout team score who followed the first Pro’s team out at 7:20am! The team of Peter Clair, Chris Chapman, Simon Benton & Pete Saunders carded an amazing 18 under par – 98 stableford points!! In fact, they were the only team to beat the second Pro’s team who carded a score of 15 under (12 under back nine!!)
The winning team included the overall individual winner Simon Benton who retuned 40 points off a handicap of 4!! – He cleared up £200 for his days work!
Well done to all and many thanks to everyone who supported the event. Pro’s Day will be back next year, bigger and better!
The ladies Nearest the Pin prize was won by Tracy Edwards who hit it to about 5 feet on the 3rd and wins a Mini Convertible for the weekend!
The BMW was won by Alex Jacobs on the 16th, but being just 16, it’s gone to Tony Philp who was second closest at just 8 feet from the pin. Don’t worry Alex; we’ll get you a prize you can actually use.

Callaway demo day - this Saturday 12th July!!!!

We have our second Callaway Demo Day a week on Saturday between 10am & 4pm. Demo days are great opportunities to try their full range of equipment, with massive choice in lots of custom options. Wiltshire Ladies Fund Raiser!! – Thursday 17th July
The Thursday Evening Roll up on 17th July is going to be completely different!
We are running a 9 hole Stableford team competition for teams of 3 players. Don’t fret about finding a team; just add your name to the entry sheet on the Notice Board and we shall do the rest.
All you have to do is turn up, pay a modest £10 entry fee and the rest will be down to us to sort out! Tee times are from 5:00 pm. Your entry fee even pays for the post-match BBQ. How good is that??
THE FORMAT
A pink ball will be given to each team.
Each member of the team will play the pink ball three times over the nine holes.
The player with the pink ball will get double Stableford points for the hole he or she plays the pink ball.
If the pink ball is lost then the team reverts to standard Stableford scoring until the game is concluded.
The team scoring the highest number of Stableford points is the winner!
THE CUNNING PLAN
Score cards will be handed out at the start of the competition by the Competition starter
The scorecard will show the holes on which each player will play the pink ball.
A second and third pink ball may be purchased at the beginning of the competition from the Competition starter at a cost of £5 per ball.
THE OFFICIALS
The Competition starter will be Fiona Thomas.
The results will be compiled by Judith May and Mel Probert
Richard Body will organise the raffle and prizes.

Hopefully you and a host of other Club members.

Summer holiday junior fun days
We have FOUR fun days scheduled for the Summer holidays. The dates are:

Wednesday 28th August
Each day starts at 10am, will include long and short game coaching in the morning, a break for lunch in the clubhouse then some time on the golf course in the afternoon for a 3pm finish.
The days are perfect for beginner or improver junior golfers and a lot of fun!
