Home Victories At The Junior Open
Cumberwell Park members Joe Retford and Laura Curtis both won the Junior Open held on Monday, shooting great scores in the tough conditions. Joe shot a great 1 under par 70 to take the title by 2 in the boys competition, and Laura won the girls competition with a gross 77.
Other mentions must go out to Jake Meredith who was 7 under his handicap to take the nett competition. The 60 juniors that played all enjoyed the day and the course was in superb condition.
A Triple for Retford!
Following his win at the Junior Open, Joe the represented Cumberwell in the Team shied and won the gross prize there, he then went onto the boys County Champs at North Wilts and with a superb second round of 70 and dramatic 4 hole playoff, he came through to win the Boys County Championships!! Huge congrats Joe, a great week!!
Wrintmore Holds Early Lead of Medallist Trophy
We are four medals into the season and Ken Wrintmore holds the early lead with 525 points and two top 3 finishes!

Great Scoring at the Assistant's Champs
Last Wednesday saw over 60 local professionals battle it out for the PGA U30's Assistant sprint over the Yellow and Orange courses. Scoring was low with the 3 scores at 66! Home professional Alex Jacobs shot a Gross 72 and finished inside the top 20. Once again the course was in superb condition and all ready for the Europro starting next month!
Fathers Day @ Cumberwell Park
Cumberwell are taking bookings for Father's Day on Sunday 18th June. On offer is a 2-course meal at £16.25 and a 3-course meal at £19.50. A fantastic menu with plenty of choice, to book contact reception on 01225 862332.
New Ladies Group Lessons
We have a new class of ladies group lessons starting on the 9th June and running every Friday morning @ 11am for four weeks. The cost of the course is £40 and is aimed at beginner or improver golfers. To book your spot, speak to us in the shop or click here.
Members 'Adopt a Green' Scheme
The club has put in place a simple scheme to help reduce the amount of pitch marks left unrepaired on the greens which we are hoping will see a huge reduction of pitch marks on the putting surfaces.
Each member will be allocated a hole on each of the five nines and we ask that on 'your' green when playing we would be grateful if you could repair an extra 2/3 pitch marks paying special attention to any par 3's you may be allotted. This alone would make such a difference to the surfaces all year round.
