**FOOTJOY SHOE FITTING DAY - THIS SATURADAY** 

The experts in golf shoes come to Cumberwell THIS SATURDAY between 11am and 3pm. A unique opportunity to have your feet professionally measured and sized using every size and width that Footjoy have available (which is a lot by the way!!) 

The fitting professional takes three different measurements of your foot and allows you to try on the correct shoe for each foot. 

There is no charge, just an opportunity to find the perfect fitting pair of golf shoes. Simply pop into the shop between 11am and 3pm and we can get you sized up. 




**NEW PAR 3 COURSE TOUR** 

Next Tuesday we have our final members walk round the NEW PAR 3 COURSE before its scheduled grand opening at the end of August. 

Join Matt & Charlie James as they guide you around the stunning new course offering insight of the construction and design to the beautiful new course. 

Due to the popular demand of this event, we have two walks available, one at 3:30pm and one at 7:30pm, both meet at the clubhouse to start and will be followed by drinks and a hog roast back at the clubhouse.

MARK SYMONDS' CAPTAINS WEEKEND A HUGE WEEKEND 

Last weekend saw Mark Symonds host his Captains Weekend in aid of the RUH Cancer Care Campaign and the Forever Friends Appeal RUH. 

Mark and his team of helpers were on hand all weekend to keep participants fed and watered and he had worked tirelessly in the run up to the event gaining lots of sponsorship for the event making it a very memorable one. 

There were tough conditions on Saturday with wind and raining affecting play most of the day. This was reflected in scoring with 37 points good enough to win from 13 year old Dom Walter who has now been cut to 3! Winner of the ladies event was Judy Mussell who also had her handicap cut to 12. 

There were nearest the pin prizes on every hole and there is a list of winners on the competition notice board where every winner won a 4 ball voucher at local golf course. 

Saturday evening Mark hosted his Black Tie Captains Evening and with over 120 attendees, great food and a live band it was a fantastic evening and again Mark was able to raise a little more money for his charities. 

Sunday saw the fun team event and it was team event specialist of Will Doust, Joe Retford, Nigel Laughton & Peter Doust who took the crown with a fantastic 86 points, just one point clear of the formidable Gerry Clements, Tom Clements, Larry Davis & Keith Ritch. 

Huge thanks to everyone who played a part in Mark's captains weekend. We thoroughly enjoyed being a part of it and its looking like Mark has raised in excess of £4000 for his chosen charities.

RECIPROCAL AGREEMENT WITH ROSS ON WYE GOLF CLUB 

Cumberwell Park now has a reciprocal agreement with the fantastic Ross on Wye Golf club up in Herefordshire. We have a four ball per week available to club members to use.

JUNIOR CLUB CHAMPS - Saturday 16th & Sunday 16th July 

The entries are now up for the Junior Clubs champs played over two days on the Red & Yellow course. Open to ALL juniors as there are gross and nett prizes and we would love to have a good entry.

JUNIOR FUNDAYS IN SUMMER HOLIDAYS 

We have 5 dates for Junior days in the upcoming summer holidays. These days are aimed for 7-14 year olds. We start at 10 am and finish at 3.00pm and activities include range work, short game and a few holes on the course. . We supply refreshments and lunch as well. Dates are: 

- Tuesday 26th July, 
- Tuesday 2nd, August 
- Tuesday 9th August 
- Tuesday 16th August 
- Tuesday 30th August

CUMBERWELL BBQ! 

On Saturday 9th July Cumberwell will be hosting a BBQ evening. This is after the recent success with the other genre food nights they have been hosting. Food includes beef burgers, southern fried chicken, corn dogs and many more! It's sure to be a treat so book yourself in at Reception. Its £12 a person and the evening starts at 7:30pm.

Just when you thought Jason Day, Jordan Spieth and Rory McIlroy were all set to divvy up golf's biggest prizes, along comes big-hitting Dustin Johnson. The US champion is now number two in the world and looks to be finally fulfilling his potential after another fine win at the weekend - and a big one too at the WGC Bridgestone Invitational. For years Johnson seemed destined to be the bridesmaid, now he's one of the favourites to go back-to-back in Majors and take the Claret Jug back across the Atlantic.

Next week's Open at Royal Troon could be a classic
